Cynthia Lynn is an avid reader and a firm believer in the 'other' worlds with a
smattering of romance to appeal to the hearts. The 'Guardsmen Series' came forth because it is their story, she is the conduit to
that world. For some time, Cynthia would wonder about these men standing over her shoulder telling her exactly what
happened in their world until finally she said okay, tell me. And their stories were born.
Other tales written by Cynthia also have a bit of a twist, witches and warlocks, good versus evil.
When not sharing her discoveries of the Guardsmen, she is busy in this world as a Labor and Delivery nurse in San Diego. She shares
her home with two dogs, 3 cats, a visiting daughter while the son-in-law is in Iraq and her very own Knight in Shining Armor.

She leaves her and spends time with the one warrior she has admired from afar. This warrior, Garrin Lanceton, asks her for her Taught band. This is
proof of her lack of virginity.
Arissa has no band. Garrin sends her home untouched and still pure. He will not take away her virginity, no matter how much she appeals to him.
Arissa decides to let her father and the Instructor assume she did actually lose her virginity.
Stepping into the house she is surprised to see the warrior of earlier there. He has begun to understand her reasons; she simply doesn't want to go to
Deltran. He will support her tale under one condition. Garrin says he will make the tale come true by dawn. He doesn’t believe she will call his bluff.
Arissa agrees to this, but doesn't expect to follow through with such an outrageous demand.
The three Counsellors are notified of this breach and order the couple to marry. Both show reluctance, Arissa doesn't realize who Garrin really is and is
shocked to discover he is the warrior known as the Black Hawk. Garrin is angry at being forced to marry a young maiden he perceives as spoiled, he teases
and torments her until the night of their wedding.
Despite their verbal sparring, the honeymoon night is filled with sensual romance as Garrin teaches Arissa the erotic pleasures of flesh.
Just before they leave for Deltran, Arissa learns Counsellor Rickard II is the strict father who molded Garrin into the hardened and feared warrior,
emphasizing that a warrior's training comes before family bonds.
She continues to fall in love with Garrin but he remains aloof, fearful of pledging his affections.
The arrival of Counsellor Rickard II to the planet brings everything to a halt. Both Arissa and Garrin feel his coming will mean nothing but bad news
for them and dread his arrival. The Counsellor, aware of her implant preventing a pregnancy for one year, publicly embarrasses Arissa at a feast in which
many Guardsmen are present. Garrin staggers, emotionally torn between loving his lying wife and the honor a Guardsman must maintain.
He takes his men and leaves on an extended campaign to search for possible rebel natives with abilities of invisibility on Deltran. Garrin spends many cold nights
thinking of the drastic measures his wife used to maintain some control of her life. Their love continues to be tested when Garrin is abducted by the warriors
from Elikkrost, led by a Renegade. Unbeknownst to Garrin, the renegade, a former Guardsman, is his brother Darth now known as Darthos. Tortured with the Mind Adjustor,

Arissa discovers where Garrin was taken and doesn't hesitate to travel to Elikkrost and rescue her husband. Darthos learns of Arissa's flight to Elikkrost and convinces
her to let him help her save Garrin.
Garrin meets Arissa but doesn't recognize her, only experiences intense pain. Darthos leaves to destroy the Mind Adjustor. Garrin eventually awakens to slowly remembering
Arissa, although the journey is painful for him.
Once he has complete control of himself, Arissa tells him of the renegades true identity. Learning of his
brothers attempt to destroy the Adjustor he hurries to assists Darthos with his plan.

if he is alive or dead. Garrin is concerned Darthos will be triedfor treasonous activities if found alive and knows he must do anything he can to prevent this from
happening.
Finally the Black Hawk allows the emotion of love to pour through him with Arissa. The only woman able to smooth his ruffled feathers.
Epilogue: Garrin searches for Darthos and finds him within the mines of Fennet. Forging a writ of release, he assists Darthos to his home on Deltran. Darthos remains a Renegade

Synopsis

A fierce Renegade warrior, Darthos Ell, escapes the gaseous mines of Fennet and finds refuge on the planet Deltran, in hopes of avoiding
Counsellor Rickard II. Though never truly a Renegade, but acting in service of the Counsellors, he continues to earn a living as a paid
Mercenary. Many fear him, while still more abhor what he does.
Chantile Kilmer, is learning to live on the rugged and primitive planet of Deltran as a Healer. She is the banished niece of a dethroned
ruler from the planet Elikkrost. She lives a lonely life because of what her Uncle did and is shocked when Darthos arrives on her doorstep in need
of healing. She remembers him as her Uncle’s personal Right Hand of Death and demands he leaves.
He agrees only to return upon hearing her being attacked by two young drunkards. He knows she cannot be left alone and vows to be her Shadow Guard
until he can find a safe place for her to live and possibly marry a Guardsman warrior.
They leave on the journey, which she is not at all happy about and continues to try to evade him. On this journey, she watches the Renegade show his
ferocity as he battles others. And yet at other times, she witnesses a gentle side of him. Thus giving her turmoil on who this warrior truly is.
The two of them travel to his brothers’ land, known as Black Hawks Haven. He is certain someone there will offer for her. But the Guardsmen want
nothing to do with her as she is a Kilmer. The two of them continue to explore their own feeling for each other. He offers for her and she accepts,
realizing her love for him matches the passion they both feel.
Chantile is then grabbed by an Elite Guardsman threatening to kill Darthos if she marries him. He wants the bounty reward placed on Darthos’ head
and tells her to deny him publicly. By humiliating the one she loves, Chantile leaves the sanctuary of Black Hawks Haven and held hostage by the evil
Elite Guardsman as insurance until he captures Darthos.
Darthos is eventually captured and tortured, he knows he cannot deny Counsellor Rickard II whatever he demands for a personal reason. He has been
implanted with a serum that will implode within him if he refuses any dangerous assignments given to him. His next assignment is to kill the other
two Counsellors, thus giving all rights to Counsellor Rickard II. He cannot say no.
Still Darthos discovers the reason Chantile refused to marry him and struggles to find a way to get rid of the implant so he can rescue her. His brother,
Garrin discovers where Chantile is being held and goes to her. She tells him what happened and together they plan a way to help Darthos, yet they are
unable to free her and she remains a hostage.
Darthos finally is told of a way to remove the implant. The only drawback is, it’s extremely painful and possibly death. He agrees to this, there is no
other option. As he struggles with the procedure, he begs for death and screams for Chantile. Delirious, he doesn’t realize she is there with him, holding him,
sharing tears with him.
Finally, purged of the implant, Darthos faces all three Counsellors, Rickard II tells him he has decided to keep Chantile for his own personal pleasures. Unless
he completes his assigned task and kill the two other Counsellors. Unaware that his control is no longer there, Rickard releases Chantile to Darthos once he thinks
Darthos will continue to obey him. He only then discovers she is pregnant and fights the urge to harm all that have in turn, harmed her.
He fights the Elite Guardsman still protecting Rickard, but he knows it could mean a fight to the death. Upon victory, exhausted, he goes in search of Chantile.
Once he is recovered he finds out Chantile had married him during the purging. She wanted their children to have his name, his true name, Darth Lanceton.
To both Chantile and Darthos, the two remaining Counsellors cleared him of any wrong doing and reinstated his title as Guardsman. Rewarding him with property and
freedom. Both Chantile and Darth see only a bright future for them and their children.
